In his role as RTC, Mr. Abdul will work closely with member associations to provide technical guidance and support in football development. He will play a crucial role in mentoring technical directors and overseeing initiatives across ten islands in his jurisdiction, fostering growth and collaboration in the region.
Mr. Abdul’s appointment builds on a foundation of shared success and teamwork. His journey includes being an ex-professional player, a successful coach, and a leader within the AVB Academy, where collaboration and innovation were key to its accomplishments. His tenure as Technical Director since 2022 has been marked by groundbreaking initiatives like the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS), which, under his leadership, positioned Aruba as the first Caribbean nation to fully integrate the TDS structure and establish a FIFA Talent Academy.
