6th KLM Aruba Marathon: NEW ARUBA MARATHON RECORD!!
6th KLM Aruba Marathon Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd, 2024
Registered Participants 2.500 of which 625 participants plus their friends and family (in total 1437 visitors) from 34 countries: Argentina. Aruba, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Bonaire, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Curacao, Dominica, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Philippines, France, Georgia, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts Nevis, Saint Marten, Spain, Surinam, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobego, United Kingdom, Venezuela, USA, came to Aruba for their “runcation”.
The Race is AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races)/ World Athletic certified, a Boston Qualifier and part of the Wanda Age Group World Championships. For everyone is a suitable distance available.The start and finish is at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort.
The next edition of the KLM Aruba Marathon is June 7st and 8th, 2025
On Saturday June 1st at 5.30 pm was the start shot of the 5km. On Sunday June 2nd was the start shot of the Full Marathon at 3.15 am, the Half Marathon at 5.15 am and the 10km at 6.15 am. On Saturday and Sunday was the Awards Ceremony and Finish Party on Hilton Beach.
NEW ARUBA MARATHON RECORD!!
The (RECORD) winner of the Marathon distance (42.2km) in 02:44:16 is Mr Yohanel Antonio Almonte Arnaud from the Dominican Republic. He was honored with a 2.500 USD cheque on stage. The best female was Mrs Pauline Vackier from Aruba. She ran the full marathon distance in 03:32:38
